Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were utterly reliant on Checkatrade to find us a trustworthy tradesperson for our renovation project. We signed up and posted our needs, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

  • Absolutely no one contacted to us.
  • The limited quotes we managed to get were simply too expensive.
  • To make matters even worse, their support team was absolutely hopeless.

We are extremely disappointed with Checkatrade and would urge using their services. There are much better alternatives out there. We are saddened by having wasted our time on this useless service.

Scammed by Checkatrade, Where's Our Justice?

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with competent tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a nightmare.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade favors their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you fall for Checkatrade. Their whole operation is designed to rip you off. They promise the world but they barely anything. You'll be left screwed and nobody at Checkatrade will give a damn.

It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible helpline that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to complain, but it's like pulling teeth.

So, steer well clear of Checkatrade if you value your money.

Is Checkatrade a Scam?

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so legitimate with their approved traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Right away, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and sent us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to more info resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's support was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling angry and would definitely not recommend Checkatrade for your tradesman needs.

My story with Checkatrade became a total disaster. I engaged a trader through their website to complete some essential home repairs. They appeared reliable at first, but it ended up a terrible ordeal.

Despite I transferred the full amount upfront, the work was never done. Contact became impossible. It's been a truly agonizing period, and I'm still left with a house in disarray.

Checkatrade has been useless throughout this whole process. They offered no solutions. It feels like I've been robbed.
